Neighborhood - Overview
The site is a few minutes from the Lockhart Town Square, which sits east of the site and is where most businesses have historically been developed along Highway 183, including Texas grocery giant HEB, Walmart, and health centers.
With the construction of Texas tollway SH-130 connecting Austin and San Antonio, developers have rushed to build homes in the western part of Lockhart. This presents an attractive opportunity for commercial tenants and investors to fill the voids that exist in the western side of the city in order to serve the new residents of the major residential projects, as well as commuters between Austin and San Antonio.
Neighborhood - Immediate Residential Proximity
The site is immediately surrounded by several residential developments totaling hundreds of new homes and hundreds of new midrise apartment units, including 30 acres of new development from KB homes, a similar development from DR Horton, and the Stanton, a 140-unit apartment complex. The site juts up directly against a new housing development, as you can see in the following image.
